The four stages of the Experiential Learning Cycle are as follows: Concrete Experience, followed by personal Reflection on that experience. It is here that our negative feelings are neutralized with the acceptance that both suffering and joy are an integral part of life. When the energy in our Heart Chakra is out of balance we tend to look for rewards from the love we give, and we find it difficult to accept love from others. Lineage - Reiki Lineage is all about keeping the knowledge pure and true to the original teachings of Mikao Usui, Dr. Hayashi and Mrs. Takata. In any spiritual or mystic practice, it is essential that the teaching at each generation be held true to the original teachings. Each recipient of the Reiki knowledge must make it his or her own, but each time one becomes a teacher, there must be a return to the original teachings of Reiki. If this does not happen, then after only a very few generations the knowledge becomes corrupted and lost. Reiki Lineage is not usually considered to be very important until a practitioner becomes a Master and/or Master-Teacher. However, to become aware of the Lineage and to honor the masters before you, helps to build your relationship and connection with Reiki. It was passed down from the Masters, and continues to flow through them into you.

They are sacred healing symbols which enhance the flow of Life Force Energy; similar to keys that open doors to higher levels of awareness and manifestation. When sharing Reiki, symbols are visualized in the mind, hands, or the crown in order to be activated. Chanting the symbol's name three times helps to also summon their powers.
